Give Me Back My Hour!

I hope that despite the blog name FunSchooling, you will permit me the occasional gripe. Particularly this one: Who's idea was it to rob me of an extra hour of sleep?!!

Daylight savings. What an abominable idea. Yes, yes, I suppose there is some benefit to turning back/forward the clock.

But the next time we go house hunting, I want to do it in Arizona.

  1. You haven't been robbed, Suji. Someone has just "borrowed" your hour and will return it in a few months :-) I'm looking forward to getting an extra hour in a couple of weeks and , boy, do I need it. I only wish I could acquire an extra two or twenty!

  3. Since you ladies are on the receiving end, I will try to be more gracious about it LOL.

This is another reason I love homeschooling. I'm just not the morning person I used to be!

  4. I'm always more than happy to trade in one tiny hour of sleep for at least an hour of sunlight at the end of every day :)

Sunshine today at 5:30 pm -- until after 7 pm in fact -- definitely helps to make up for the fact that it's -23C today. And it's lovely to be in town for the kids' activities and drive home for dinner in daylight once again...

  5. Brrrr...! Did you say -23? At that temp I'd probably gladly give up 3 hours of sleep for sunshine :) Stay warm Becky!

  6. I don't let the hour get taken away from precious sleep time- I take it off housework time! :) They're thinking of changing it so that we put the clock ahead by 2 hours in England! We don't change our clocks until the 29th here.

  7. Sigh...I bet you keep your home spotless anyway Michelle. Mine is a dump and if I take an hour off cleaning it up, I swear we're going to start seeing unwanted guests here (of the rodent kind). As it is laundry's constantly not folded and the carpet is a new shade of brown.

  8. LOL! No way is my house spotless. My house is *tiny*. For lack of shelves, I have books piled everywhere, the floors are always covered with toys, and the cat sheds all over the place. :) Luckily, my son's not opposed to housework! Start 'em young, I say! :)

  9. Michelle, vigorous nodding of head on ALL points :) Just minus the cat and insert my hair loss.
